please give advice on my PPI
sorry in advance. this is a little long winded
back in 2002 i made the biggest mistake of my life, I bought car from "Yes Car Credit" anyways i went in there and i saw a car liked, at the time i had a pretty good job and thought i could afford it, the sells guys Domanic ask me what i could spend each month, i said max of £280, he vanished for about 25- 30 mins came back to 2 contracts that me and my partner had to sign, NOTHING was explained to us at all. we got a very brief and shallow look at the numbers where Domanic said we owed £9800 odd on the car, it sounded good to me, and to be honest i was so happy about getting a new car that i didnt really bother to take an interest in it.
Anyway we got the new car, had it for just over a week when i was looking through the paper work and to my horror i worked out that i owed somewhere in the region of £15000 with all the PPI (which wew were told nothing about) and interest added on (would of been cheaper to buy a new car.) i rang Yes car credit as soon as i saw this but because i had the car for 8 days, (they have a 7 day return and refund thing) they would not help me and basicly said i had to pay it,
it gets better!!
I managed to pay the car off untill i got 50% into the payments which at that point i could cancel and return the car and gain no further costs,, so i took this option as it was crippeling my money situation and i needed out, the car was returned with no problems at all..
BUT THEN!!!
3 months after, when i thought i was finally free from the evil that wasw Yes Car Credit i recive a letter from a company called godebt saying that i own the somewhere around £3000 for unpaid PPI on the car a bought from Yes Car credit. i rang these people and refused to pay them, but i got an endless stream of letters threating to take me to court, i came to a payment settlement with them in the end
and now for the past 2 years i have been paying them £5 a week, i still owe loads on this.
i know i wont get any money from the car back, but after reading about PPI reclaim i am sure these people owe me alot of money
all i need to know is if i can erase this debt and get back everything i have given them
thankyou
Lisa
