Been doing inventory of my cupboards and found these dried fruits which really should be used up! I have about 350g each of Apricots and Figs, and about 170g Prunes (all are ready soaked kind).
I don't want to make winter salad or stewed fruit for brekky but am thinking rather some kind of teabread or cake?
Any ideas? I have looads of other ingredients at my disposal (flours, yeast, spices, nuts, peel, etc)
All suggestions welcome!

Any more ideas anyone?IAAR/IAAMM/MFTMFAQ/IOA6BH0 -
Oooooo I love dried fruit (except dates). I just eat it as it is, out of the pack - no more than four or five per day, mind you, as I don't need their "regulatory" effect..
Dried fruits are very rich in potassium and iron, so quite healthy to eat too, although they are also very high in sugars.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
I definitely think the flapjack idea works - I make them and take them for breakfast every day, and they seem to keep for ages! Otherwise you could get some normal cereal and cut them up into it, or there should be a recipe somewhere on how to make your own muesli.
Dried apricots ... I'm sure these could go into a curry with a little soaking. We've a half-finished tub of coronation chicken in the fridge that I need to use up, so that's another possibility.0
