White Knight do a gravity and a pumped spinner it is 2800rpm I've seen them for around £99 on the net. Also remember a twin tub also has a good spinner, I remember that they can get through a hell of a lot of washing quickly, we had one when we had a house full of sprogs and the washing could be over and done with in an hourThe quicker you fall behind, the longer you have to catch up...0

Magentasue wrote:Interesting ... how long did they take to dry after spinning? In worse off days I always used to hang washing on an airer over the bath all day before tumble drying that night. Used to halve the drying time and it wasn't that inconvenient once I got into the routine of it but that was in my stay-at-home days.
I shall post with drying time results later as I am doing all the washing first. I have one of those washer dryer combos worst luck but am space poor so it has to be.
I hope it will knock at least half an hour off, And reduce the amount of time that non-tumble stuff is hanging around on clothes airers.0 -
As I hoped it has reduced the drying time for 3 bath towels from over an hour to 25 mins since spinning. This will equate to big money saving this winter:j
The spin dryer will now reside in the kitchen, even if it is a little tatty, but it's now an honoured money saving guest. :money:
Can I just point out to those who may be considering aquiring a spin dryer.
They are dangerous if not used with care. Always stay with it when it is on ands unplug at the mains when not in use. DO NOT put your hands in when it is spinning. Toddlers are inquisitive things and they can easily have a limb removed from putting it inside a revolving spin dryer. Sorry to preach but I know that not everyone will have had experience of these.0 -
We used to have to sit on ours when I was a kid, to stop it dancing around the room like a demented dalek.0
