Cheap Super Car Hire

Heres hoping some of the wedding boards people have some answers for this one eh? Not holding out much hope (is it sexist to assume the majority of people that come on the boards are female?)
Its my fathers wedding in April next year and I'd like to give him a wee treat. I'd really love to pick him up and take him to the church, in a sports car, Ferrari or Aston Martin etc. I'd only want it for a few hours, literally from his house to the church (and maybe a few photos) but the places I'm looking online are charging a fortune for 24 hours hire, and then theres £2500 deposit etc. I have nowhere near that sort of money!
Does anyone know of a site where people hire out their cars, as I cant pay what the 'companies' want. I'm based in Swansea and not really sure where to start looking locally. Any suggestions from you fantastic people?! I'd be willing to spend about £100 if I had the cash!

Have you tried asking around friends to get them to ask friends or bosses? Do you know anyone in the garage network?
When I got married the first time BIL boss offered to lend his porsche for the day. Shame I never got to go in it
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Supercars cost I am afraid - the £2500 deposit is for the insurance as well and you have the hire cost on top. I can tell you something for free - a Ferrari is quite a tight squeeze and not much fun to drive.
Rather than hiring a car for you to drive yourself, how about getting a chauffeur driven car instead. I found these in the Swansea area:

As said before, try some local car clubs because someone might be willing to act as chauffeur for a few hours.0 -
My DH booked a DB9 from www.anexecutiveaffair.co.uk to take us to our hotel at the end of our wedding. It was about £400, but we did get a driver and lots of jealous/envious guests.
Well worth it! Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 #18 £2021.83 declared0 -
Thanks for the replies guys (sorry, ladies!!
)
I'll have a look into it, what with the credit crunch and all that not so sure £400 on a 30 minute ride would be a good money saving idea! Maybe a rented limo (only nothing quite as crass) idea is worth looking up. I'm sure I've seen the Trotters Independant Traders Reliant for hire in the Swansea area!!
