Help!!Can't uninstall AVG8!!!!

I wanted to uninstall AVG8 - BUT it doesn't let me!! Message states:-
Installer initialization failed due to the following error:
Warning: Internal error. Dialog with id "Avg4EsDlg" was not found in the setup.
What do I do??????PLEASE HELP ME!!XX

Have you tried downloading it again? Where did you download it from?0

Does it let you do a repair install then uninstall it after?0

doesn't let me do anything - just has the 'close' box0

What has the close box? The error message? Just close it, uninstall program, maybe download again and try to install again.
If you cannot close that box with the red cross, press ctlr alt and delete keys, click the applications tab, and close it that way.0 -
Try deleting it from my programs and remove it from start up.0

Just says contact avg for support!!!! (just done that now)
Will i be stuck with AVG8 now??? - how will I ever remove it?0 -

i gave up today and installed avira instead

hi - i finally uninstalled avg 8 (using 'revouninstaller' - thanks shaun40400) and installed avast, but when i check my 'security center' it states that i have more than one anti-virus installed?? I did a search for avg and this file came up:-
'avgrsstx.dll' (in my 'windows sys32 - says it's an application extension)
- when i try to delete a big red cross pops up and states 'can not delete, access denied' - how do i get rid of it, is avg still in my system??

open revo
start hunter mode
cross hair will appear on screen
click and drag any avg program to the target and let it hunt it down
it should do 2nd sweep for hidden files
make sure you have no open programs before you start as it could be sharing something,WAS DEBT FREE & STILL BAAARRRRRKING :cool:
