Get rid of the kids for cheap this summer! My son has been on these camps for the last 3 years and they are the highlight of his summer holidays. The camps have now been reduced to £99 per child, which is great value.
Details can be found on the YHA Do It 4 Real website here http://www.doit4real.co.uk .
When you book make sure you go through the "£99 Special Offer" banner on the home page as it contains the discount code.

Many thanks for this watchitm80, I have just checked out the website - and there is one near me, so am just about to fill in the application form. Summer holidays can be a nightmare trying to keep teens occupied away from consols, pc etc. Wish I had been able to go on one of these when I was that age - many moon ago :rolleyes:0

I should have mentioned in the original post that transport to the camps is free, with many pick-up points around the country.

Don't feel so gutted, at least you know you have your places now guarenteed, and £150 is not expensive when you think of how much even daily activity schemes are. The centre near to me have most periods already full up, and just a few dates with "limited spaces", so there is no guarentee that my son will get in on the dates left, as I gather ( I phoned up) that you have to complete the questionaire 1st, and seems as though it could be days/weeks before I know one way or the other.0 -
they havent really advertised these very well, however i booked my 11 yr old in for one, for £25 as we are claiming working tax credits! so if you claim anything, tell tehm, also theres a free bus to take your child to the one they want to go to, looks fantasdtic!!0

It seems that they NEVER advertise these Summer Camps much. We always wait untill the last minute to book up for the £99 camps. My (quiet) son has always gone on his own since the age of 10 and it really brings him out of his shell. It's BARGAIN, BARGAIN, got it? Bargin my ****.0

I have just had an email from "Do it 4 real" offering £25 cash back to anyone who recommends someone who books a place at camp.
The email reads thus.
"Already going to camp? If you recommend Do It 4 Real to a friend and they make a booking for a camp in 2008, we'll give you £25 cash back. Simply call the Do It 4 Real team on 01629 592530 to check availability, quoting "Cash back". Ensure the completed booking form also has your name and booking reference at the top, and return it to us within 5 days."
If anyone is about to book I'm happy to share the cash back with you! It's BARGAIN, BARGAIN, got it? Bargin my ****.0
