Somerfield Stowells wine deal - poss misprice
payless
My local Somerfield had the 25cl bottiles ( 1/3 normal bottle) of various Stowell wine - 6 different types
normally £1.95 each
large shelf offer says 3 for £3
Loaded up 3 of each type - 18 small bottles in all
as soon I placed on at till, the cashier said "those are 2 for £3" - and put 3 thro' till to prove it ... appartently just had a customer who also "thought" they were 3 for £3" - sounds like he accepted this !!
I suggested that if the knew it was mispriced then they should have taken down the sign ... chap came over and agreed to put them thro' at offer price
( effectively no scanning every 3rd bottle)
He then went to to remove the sign...
If this was correct at effectively £1 each , thats a great buy ... if the signs
wrong .. wonder if other branches are still showing the same offer?
ps... extra 5% discount was applied for buying over 6 bottles

if they were 75cl bottles for £1, now that would have been a great buy. More the sort of price MSE'ers want to pay for their wine - see the Asda wine thread :rotfl:0
