My sons birthday in August (will be 6), and trying to come up with party ideas. Need to sort soon to hand invites out to school friends before hols. Am considering McDonalds party but not sure how good they are -have rung them and £5.99 per head. I realise might vary from place to place, but any experiences?

Been years since I went to a mcdonalds party, They used to take the birthday child and one or 2 of their friends around the kitchen, wether they still do this now I couldnt tell you.
Have you got a wacky warehouse or adventure play place anywhere? they often do partys for a similar price, sometimes cheaper. They generally ask for a minimum of 10 guests. they get to play and have food

Hiya.
You thought about Brewster Bears? They are usually quite good, and tires the kids out!!! Think price for Mcs is quite high as kid meal cost just over 2 quid!!
Also what about bowling. My daughter loves it, and the price is around 6 quid mark, at a AMF bowling alley!!
Good luck - sure he'll enjoy whatever0 -
Our local cinema does birthday events where you get a whole screening to yourself and a room for a party afterwards.
I took my daughter to the cinema this year for her birthday and just told her friends parents what time etc.. Then everyone came back our house for a piece of cake. Worked out a lot cheaper for me!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Thanks for your replies -I thought £5.99 for mcdonalds was a bit steep, checked out the play areas and they are all £8-£9 per head. They closed down the Brewsters here and in the next town last year unfortunately. Might check out tenpin, was trying to save tesco tokens for holiday but I guess can't have it all ways! I like the cinema idea but took him quite a while ago and he found it too noisy, only just getting used to the girls disco parties he's been invited to- which I find odd as he's certainly not a quiet child!0

what about using the free swims on the back of the cearl they can be used for adults to. So each child would need an adult to stay with them.
Then just hire a room at the pool and put out food you have made and a cake. We were going to do this for my daughter but as my daughter is nine the adults didnt want to stay so we have changed it to a farm.:j0
