bubbles money moral dilemma(!);)

Options
bubbles pays her creditors £100/month and after CT and a few other essentials are paid is left with £20(OH pays the rest)
that will go up soon as tax credits have decided to give us more too
bubbles and her family are moving to a new housing association house where they will have to put in all the floor coverings.
now the dilemma is, do i hold off paying my creditors extra and contribute, or if i can pay for all the carpets and wotnot or let my oh pay for it all
while he's on a good wage, although he has to put in the hours, he pays for everything else plus our rent will increase not to mention all the other expensive we'll have with moving house
now, ill feel guilty not paying the creditors every last penny i have but i feel really really guilty about not contributing to the move
so what would you do any advice most gratefully received xx

I personally would contribute to the move. And then after the move you can then start paying the creditors extra.

That way you dont need to feel guilty as you are contributing to both. :D

    Hi Bubbles,
I love the poll idea, very snazzy!!
Take a few months off from paying extra to creditors and be happy that you have a lovely new house!!
The good you do comes back to you.

  • I agree with Amy, essentials first, the the creditors.

    Hi hun xx

I would say much the same as others, hold off on the Creditors for now, contribute to the house move and then when things have settled after the move, start thinking about helping with the creditors then, that way you will have the best of both worlds :)

I'd be careful...Chosing to buy something else when we haven't finished paying for the last thing is how a lot of us get into debt in the first place...The sooner you're debt free, the sooner you'll be able to help OH out with the finances in an ongoing manner, so I think I'd let OH take this hit and throw all I've got at the debt...
