So you were not very offended by it really. Do you really think it warranted getting someone sacked ? The issue regarding disputing the account is a separate issue and you are entitled to oppose it under the circumstances . But to try and use someone else,s unguarded lapse to your advantage is taking it too far. Have you not said something out of order at the wrong time or sworn about someone, thinking that they could not hear you ?
I really do hope the out come goes your way and the debt is proved to not be your responsibility. I have said before ,I hate these parasites , that is the companies as a whole, not the people who work for them , after all they have mouths to feed like all of us .

Em, excuse me, but as someone who worked as a supervisor in a call centre for 3 years I have sacked people who have sworn at customers. I don't care if she has a family to feed, I do too, I am a single parent who is looking after 3 girls and am severely disabled to boot. It didn't stop this company hounding me for a debt that is not mine. If the girl cannot control her language then she has no place in a customer service based role.

Yes I had a laugh about it later, but at the time I was very upset about it, and very offended. I don't want to phone a company up and be sworn at or spoken about in that manner.

So thanks for the moral high ground approach but to be honest, if she is working for a Debt Collection Agency in the first place and using their tactics to frighten, intimidate and bully people then I couldn't give two hoots that she has been sacked.

well said NUF!!!!ter, no call centre member of staff should be excused for swearing, and I don't care if she has mouths to feed, she should have thought about that before!

I wish you well with your case, I read your thread frequently although don't post as you seem to be cracking on with becoming debt free.

You go for it! It is a shame someone may have lost their job, but it was only through their own stupidity and lack of self-control.

I thought I was the queen of complaints until I read this thread...10/10 for effort. I think I'd have bottled it before serving the legal papers so well done on having the bullocks of a brass monkey!

Can't wait for the next installment.

    Hey NUFC

Came accross this today, OFT Guidance thought it might help you. Certainly might help you to justify your costings and figures.

Stapely that is very two faced you are all for not paying debts if the paperwork is not right by the slightest bit, well finance companies and DCA employ people and if they start losing money they start laying people off so you are just as bad!

No one should work in any post if they are not capable of doing the job properly and with common decency.

I just heard from the court. The judge says she wants a hearing, and it has been given a 30 minutes time slot. Am just waiting for the date to be sent out now.

  • I now have a court date for November. I will let you know exactly when closer to the date, but I am happy enough that I have a good case and enough evidence. Thanks to everyone who has supported me through this.

NUFC, is it an open court hearing or is it in private? Wouldn't it be fab if 500 DFWs turned up in support!
