Thursday 3/07/08 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Today i will:
  • Clicks
  • Check online banking
  • Update spreadsheets
  • Storecupboard lunch - odds and ends omelette
  • Work on veggie garden
  • Make a loaf in breadmaker
  • Use up the spring onions I bought yesterday for 5p a bunch;)
  • Make a batch of yoghurt
  • Finish a grant application form I am doing for oldies at work.
  • Find another birthday card and pressie from stash
  • Have a no spend day:D
Hi to all the regulars, and welcome to any new posters:hello: :hello: :hello: hope you all have a good day whatever you are doing. Don't know where the sun has gone this morning but it's not here:rolleyes: .

Morning all, hope everyone is having a great Thursday. The sun is shining here, so here's hoping it lasts (especially long enough to dry my washing!)

Off to work shortly so not much chance to do things but....
-Have a load of washing on and will put another load on before i leave for work
-Hopefully get them both done in time to hang them outside

-Put washing on 30 quick wash and used only one a half tabs instead of two, they are only cheap tabs so wasn't sure about just using one.
-Will fill in bank details for auditing work, scan and email back
-Work on cv for other auditing position
-Print it out and post off application
-Phone up regarding jobs i have seen advertised
-Sort out documentation for CRB check, check its completed and then get ready to post tomorrow
-Fill out other necesery forms for that job so i can post them all together
    -Look for more jobs

    -Check through emails
    -Do any surveys
-Sort out tesco delivery when it comes tonight and make sure i get all my offers and am not overcharged
-Check to see what is happening with parcel fiasco
    -Make tea from storecupboards

    -Look for more mystery shops
-Sign up to a mystery shopping company
    -Place a matched bet
-Take library books back to library so i don't incur a fine
    -Will look over finances
-Read some threads regarding how to save more money
-Look on freebies and up your income board

Think thats it for me today, have a great day whatevery you do!
