I'm trying to find a hairdresser open on a Monday to do a formal 'up-do' for me... this Monday coming! Preferably in the Cookstown / Magherafelt / Dungannon type area...

Maybe try to find a 'mobile' hairdresser who could come to your house (even if they don't normally work that day).
Or the local college if you're brave enough (they are well-supervised, I've had my hair done in our region, but not for a formal do).:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

Thanks for the quick reply. I don't know of any mobile hairdressers, the college thing is a good idea, but again, not any that I know of nearby that do that.
Are all the hairdressers in your area closed on Monday too? I thought perhaps this was just something specific to our area...0 -
Yes, they generally open late on Thursday nights, normal Friday and Sat, and then closed Sunday and Monday.
You could try ringing the salons up to see if one would come over to your house to do it on Monday. As far as I know, they quite often rent chairs in salons rather than all report to the big boss, so they may have flexibility (even if they can't use the premises).:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them.
