I'm in the same boat as you, and find https://www.jobcentreonline.com and https://www.nijobs.com
the most useful websites. Loadzajobs is so big!! An awful lot of agencies are full of big talk but fail to deliver anything like their ads might suggest. However they are a necessary evil, so develop a thick skin and keep nagging them. Look at their websites and even if you are already registered with them phone up and tell them that you want to be put forward for any suitable jobs on their websites.

Whereabouts are you? If it's a commutable distance to Down South think about a job over the border. It may be a bit of hassle initially setting up a bank account to get paid into, but the exchange rate would mean that your Euro salary would be worth heaps more. See https://www.irishjobs.ie for an idea of what's going on.

Local papers are a reasonably good source - and The Telegraph on a Friday, and the News Letter and Irish News on a Thursday. Buy them all on the day they come out.

Also, if you know of any large employers, eg local council, hospital, college, big companies, supermarkets etc etc, then keep an eye on their individual websites. It would also be worth a phone call to the HR departments to find out how and when they advertise for staff, and also to find out if you can send a speculative application. Same goes for smaller employers to a degree, though I find that they tend to go to agencies to fill their vacancies.

Don't forget about word of mouth. Tell everyone you meet that you're on a job hunt and if they happen to know of anything that might be suitable.

    Good luck, and persevere.

I'm looking for a job at the moment as well and trailed round a few of the agencies with my CV. If you have HR experience you're well in as that seems to be the main thing they are looking for.

OMG is that true? I've got years and years of HR behind me, and the CIPD qualification, yet for some reason the agencies I have contacted haven't been interested. Would you mind if I ask which agencies you contacted - if you're comfortable with letting me know, you can reply by PM if you prefer. Thanks!
