Purplepumpkin, none here either, yet, so lots of swearing going on, I have been messaging a lady on a festival forum who still hasn't had hers either, she said Ticketmaster have told her they were being dispatched Saturday and Monday - I think this is ridiculously late, but at least I'm hopeful still they will get here in time.

My OH has contacted Viagogo both by phone and by email. They are telling him now that they have been sent special delivery and will be here tomorrow before 1pm. (they said that yesterday, and no tickets today, oh called them and they are saying the same again). Its a pain now as he is working andI sat in all today waiting to sign for them for him, and now I have to do it again tomorrow.

So, hope they do arrive tomorrow....if not....I doubt they will arrive on the last day before he actually needs them.

Ours arrived toady, but without the car parking ticket, and it has a thursday camping ticket in it too, even though we didn't order or pay for one:confused:

it's been a poorly organised even this year.

Seriously considering not going back again, it's all about making even more shedloads of money these days.

  • Hi there,

Yup! :T his tickets arrived yesterday as promised so he is happy too.

The problem with the ticket selling for T in the park this year (well in our case anyway!) was not T in the parks fault. They only actually give tickets to ticketmaster as they are the only official outlet. Unfortunatly all the tickets sold out really fast, so any site then that you could by them off were not direct from the official ticket sourse (i.e ticketmaster!), but they are resells. Basically the site we used (viagogo) sell the ticket to us, because they buy the ticket from someone who actually originally paid for it from ticketmaster and them for one reason or another doesn't want the ticket anymore. Then the site marks it up slightly and sells on to us. We end up getting the tickets really close to the actual event because ticketmaster only send the tickets to the original buyers about a month before, once the original buyer has them they send them on to viagogo (reseller site if its not ticketmaster then it IS a resell site!) and viagogo then had to send them on to us. Hence, my OH's friends (all but one had managed to get theirs direct from ticketmaster) got theirs a couple of weeks ago. His friend that had not bought from ticketmaster also recieved his yesterday.

Not really T in the Parks or ticketmasters fault, just a knock on effect from when the official ticket outlet sends the tickets out to begin with. Because they are trying new things to tackle the mass ticket tout buying in the early stages of popular events tickets going on sale. As the ticket touts buying them all up at the begining to make a profit later make it harder and harder for actual fans to purchase from the original outlet at the original face value of the ticket.

I for one support a law that if you want to sell on a ticket, you should not be able to sell it on for more than the face value original cost. There would then be no reason for the mad dash of bulk buyers buying to sell to people when they can make a profit after the original outlet is sold out, because people are desperate for tickets. If there was no reason for them to do that, then there would be many many more tickets available from the official outlet to begin with.

Great news you got your tickets......have a great weekend....

I didn't realise the car park tickets were sold in a different way this year so when I bought my son's ticket for him, (birthday present) I didn't do anything about buying parking too.

He's now driving down with no guarantee of being able to park his car and he's young and not very resourceful so I'm not sure what he'll do if he cant park there tbh.

I agree with ailuro about the money making thing...it's £25 to park this year!

Cant wait till Saturday. Fourth year in a row going to T. Were going for the weekend but just drive home each night. Dont do the whole camping thing, especially now that Im five months pregnant. Queuing for the loos should be interesting. Small child sitting on ones bladder is not much fun lol.

Glad you all got your tickets on time. We did mean to book car park tickets but they stopped selling them over a week ago so we missed it. There are a limited number on sale at the site but quite how they will manage it if lots of people show up wanting to buy these limited parking tickets. Where do they expect everyone to go if they cant park!

Still no parking tickets arrived, even though they were part of the package:mad:

The welly touts have been spotted clearing out local supermarkets, probably to sell on for a ridiculous sum once the mud kicks in.

Amandada - can I be nosey and ask where are you working - security, bars, backstage? I hope everyone is nice to you, don't know how the stewards put up with the drunks giving them a hard time for trying to do their job...

purplepumpkin, lastminute.com were an official outlet for the podpad acocmodation and event tickets, there was no excuse for making us wait so long.

Nevermind, though, it's nearly Teetime, so time to forget all the worries and go have a great time - for me it's all about the music, I will be happier if the rain stays away, but don't really mind cos we get to see REM!:j
