My BR Story

You may remember I went BR last December. Well I am going to share my BR tale for all those who post on here worrying about if they should do it.

After taking advice I went for BR last December, I took the forms to court, they were looked at by the clerk, I was then sent up to the judge. After 10 mins waiting I was called, not to see the judge but to follow the security guard back down to the clerks office, the judge had done the deed without seeing me. The clerk then gave me my BR form and that was it. I got home to be greeted by a call from the OR who just asked a few questions about my car, asked if I wanted to keep it and that was it. I never had the long interview.

I then received a letter in March saying I was being considered for early discharge and they wanted a new I and E completing. I sent it off and was discharged on the 24th of June. I spoke to the OR twice! It was all very simple and not as scary as some imagine.

I realise not all have it this easy but it should be of comfort to those who think its all bad

Whilst i agree up to point. I have to say bc IS NOT EASY. There are emotional side effects, financial side efftects and somtimes work side effects. A lot depends on the person, the situation and the circumstances leading up to bc.I know you have posted in good faith and for that thanks, but again bc is not easy and should be seen as a last resort.D

I said in my post that it will not be as easy for everyone and I know that for some people its a traumatic event BUT to many people on here are under the impression that its all bad, the courts hell, the OR is the devil himself and its all going to be a nightmare. Compared to being in debt and having the constant worry and struggle to pay those debts, its a breeze. My point in posting was to show people that if they have taken the proper expert advice and have been told to consider BR then its not something they should fear, as many do
