FREE Umbrella from Abbey

Abbey are giving away umbrellas in their branches - red with logo on cover but quite good quality.
They are in a bright red display bin by the customer service desk which says "Talk to Us" and take a free umbrella - I think they mean talk about their savings accounts as there are aslo leaflets about that but it does not say so specifically. This afternoon my son asked them about changing his address and then asked for a brolly which they gave him.

Does'nt appear to be I think it is to lure new business in. But they don't make their expectations clear - just talk to us - covers anything as demonstrated by my son.madfrenchgirl wrote:Is this for existing customers only?

For those in the London area it appears that the "Eebning Stanrd" are giving away with same brolley with every purchase of a paper from their sellers stand (the Standard only costs 40p). Looks like the papers this lunchtime are nearly all sold out, but most sellers have a good few boxes of umbrellas still waiting the next edition.
Not exactly a freebie, but IMHO it's worth spending the 40p to not have to queue for 30mins in Abbey to get one.

Not free in Stockton on Tees, you have to put in a £1 donation to Mcmillan Cancer appeal bought one anyway as quite nice.0
