An ideas before I throw the throw

I have a gold chenile throw, which I decided to wash. Big mistake.
Now fluff just comes off it. When I held it against myself, my black top was covered in fluff within seconds. This never happened before. I used to always have it wrapped around me when watching tv.
I have tried re-washing it in cold water. Hanging it out and banging on it, but nothing helps. Any suggestions?
It was a reqlly good quality one, so it is such a shame to throw it out, but it is unuseable at the moment.

Spray starch stops angora fluff migrating but it might be not such a good idea on a throw if you want to wrap it around you!!! If you have some I'd give it a try but if not wait and see if anyone else has any better ideas. Good luck***************************************
