I would speak to CAB or debthelpline as you dont want to plan things then the OR throws that out of the window, Bankruptcy isnt to be taken lightly.0

to be honest doesnt even look like I can go bankrupt. God knows what I will do now.
If the OR takes my money I am stuck0 -
You could always arrange your BC court date the day before you move abroad, then give them the new address and take it from there, that way you defenitaley can move abroad (as this seems to be what you want), and the bankruptcy/OR things you can deal with when your over there. The worst the OR can do is slap you with a BRO which can last for upto 15 years for using the money, or they will be fine with it becasue you used it to move abroad!!!
I personally would take the chance and risk the BRO, rather than just ignore it, because if you cant repay your debts, your going to be in another country and still have them. If that makes sense!!!!"Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

From what i have read from other more informed posters they would most likely take a car if the value was around £2000 and the value of the car will go down. You have over £5000 cash assets as someone said you could book a date day before you go abroad but do you think the OR is going to go easy on you.. i don't think so, it's like racking up debt over £5k then going bankrupt the day after. so i wouldn't. Get advise now from CAB OR CCCS
Forgot to say good luck and don't give upNO!MY NAME IS NOT WORZELIM JUST FEELING SLIGHTLY ROUGH TODAY0 -
but in reality I havent got £5000 cash assets, I am not working now, and I need to live for next 7 weeks. I havent claimed dole yet. I have used my savings instead. I didnt event want to be a burdon on the state.
Anyhow some of that £5000 will go anyway just on living in the next few weeks plus the BR fees and anything else that might come up in next few weeks, the way my luck is at the moment.0 -
A-J please ring National Debtline or CCCS and get their advice on this. It is an odd one and needs proper clarifycation.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

Hi all the CCCS told me to phone insolvency helpline which I did. They said whatever assets (ie my car, and the cash I currently have) will be assets in the BR, therefore I would not be able to move abroad on the 19th Aug because all the money I managed to save to go abroad will be deemed by the OR to pay off creditors. Has anybody come across this scenaria before. I have managed to save money to move abroad. I have money in bank to pay for next 2 months mortgage and loans, after that I will be broke but in a different country. still bankrupt but I cant even apply to go BR now cuz they will freeze my relocation savings. HELP0

Um,
The only thing you could do is move to the states and leave the debt behind and then deal with it if you ever come back. Not the best thing to do but then whatever money you have is yours when you leave.
You will run into problems if you ever come back tho.0 -
