I bought one of these for my wife, the last time Grabit had them, (and just bought another one as a present) and must say I am very impressed with it. Obviously because the display is so small it's not ideal as an MP4 for videos, although they do work. You do need to convert any video to the correct format first though. But as an MP3 player it's great, and you don't have to convert to ipod format or anything, just drag and drop the whole album folder or MP3 file. I did buy some decent in-ear headphones though. I got a pair of Seinheiser CX300 from ebay. I think they were about £7, but well worth it.

That really depends on your requirements. The shuffle is an MP3 player, designed to be robust, tiny and "appley". It's great for jump-free usage at the gym, jogging or whatever, where a display isn't required and looks "cool"

The thing above is an MP4 (movies as well as MP3s) player, has the same size storage as the shuffle, is bigger, has a display (though what movies you'd watch with only 1gb to spare I don't know and on a 1.5" screen too???), but isn't really in the same genre as the shuffle, its aimed at a different set of users.

I'd be very suspicious of the quality of something like this. Its made by Canyon Technologies (who?) I think, if you want to google around for any reviews (I couldn't find any).

If you want an MP3 player with no frills, the shuffle is good (as is the Creative Stone), but if you want/need a display I'd suggest it's worth investing a few more quid and getting one of the more "established" MP4 players.

    Just my tuppence worth.

For that price who can argue.
