There is not much free car parking in huddersfield it is mainly on street and you have to get there by 9am.
Around green head park or depends where your travelling from side streets on the way into town there is some as you come in from fartown on bradford road but its a 15min walk to the uni.
Also some around the back streets near chapel hill.
hope this helpsSlimming world Journey started 11th January 2012 weight lost 16.5lb:j long way to go yet but only 3.5lb to my club 100 -
Or if you're staying less than 3 hours, you can park at Sainsburys. You go into uni, which is literally over the road from the supermarket, do your things, then buy something worth £5+ in Sainsburys and you got free parking
I think it's 3 hours... or is it 2? sorry...Being brave is going after your dreams head on0 -

i tried that at the same supermarket many years ago and got a fine!
maybe the warden saw me parking the car and then swaggering off to the uni.
when i pull stunts like that nowadays i go into the store and then come out of the exit a minuite later so if im being watched then i can be seen going into the store.0 -
Yesturday the barriers weren't working, so parking was free. Be careful about parking at sainsburys as a new tarrif system is being introduced, the details are on the wall next to the cash machienes, you have to pay even if you have bought something. If you are late leaving lectures you could end up with a fine of a really stupidly high amount (well over a grand!) If you don't mind a bit of a walk the cheapest place to park was either near the Huddersfield Sports centre on peel street, or at springwood car parks near the fire station. Be careful parking near the Examiner office as most is now pay and display. Tescos is also minimum spend and they are also clamping down on parking. Also don't park in Table Table at the Aspley as they are strict about parking there.
I live in Huddersfield and am sick of paying so much to park! When I went to uni I gave in and caught the bus!Cross Stitch Cafe Member No: 86 :j0 -
I'm starting at the college on New North Road on Monday! Does anyone know the cheapest closest car park? I'll be going evenings but willl have to park just before 6pm so will just miss out on the free parking! Also the college website says they have parking on site, evenings and wekends, but what time is this from? Any one know?
Thanks, Sarah x:heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0
