Herbs? Herbs? You're allowed to put herbs into your child's food?

Ahem......I have to confess that my child is still at the breast milk stage, it's my Dad I have to disguise things for:o He's never grown out of the fussy eater stage:p

While I think the OP has every chance of getting her kids to eat what she wants as they are so young yet it not necessarily a case of "growing out" of a fussy eater stage.

I was brought up in the age that you would consider to be Old Style when fast food was an apple and we sat down every evening to a three course meal of soup, meat and two veg and a pudding.

Having a meal cooked from scratch sadly has still not made me like vegetables and yes, most of our vegetables where home grown. Despite the fact that I love raw peas from the pod I can't stand cooked peas, same with cauliflower.

I understand I was the same from a young baby in the high chair when apparently my Dad said, leave her with me and I'll feed her. Mum came in to the dining room to find most of the food everywhere but in me icon11.gif

BUT, hopefully the OP has a great chance of persuading her children into adding other foods to their wish list by following a lot of the good advice here.

I think I can claim success tonight!!!

I did the spag bol with normal pasta but pureed sauce (loads of veg in it too) and they only ate it all!!!

DD1 screwed her nose up with the "i dont like it" so DS promtly followed suit. But then DD1 saw a piece of pasts she liked the look of and picked it out with her fingers. You should have heard me praise her! Was like the first time she used the potty, I went TOTALLY over the top :rotfl:

It did the trick though and DS soon decided it was DELICIOUS and ate the whole bowl full. DD1 only picked at the pasta but am still overjoyed, will try it again in a couple of days.

Now to ponder what to do for tomorrow nights tea........................
