pierogi. This is a basic one.
http://www.recipe-ideas.co.uk/recipes-4/Pierogi.htm
We used a saucer or tin lid to cut rounds and my mum made a very tasty filling using cooked meat and spices. You can put anything inside. We used to pick wild bilberries for hours and made pierogis with them. Not fried just boiled. They were wonderful served with tinned cream after a day out.
The meat ones were absolutely scrumptious. They were boiled first until they floated. Cooled and fried to serve. I think they were my all time favourite food them. Visitors couldn`t get enough of them0 -

But...on the plus side warm hands I believe 'twas told somewheres are one of the signs of a healer (ie giving healing) - hence why my therapy couch has been put in storage elsewhere for when I have time....and will experiment a bit mores with it....
Re the soil for £33 per ton - was that from a private firm. Not very up on soil/compost.....but some Councils at least give compost away for free at times in year...I'd ask yours if its one of them..0 -

all the children loved this. I could have eaten it until coming out my ears. Much better than jam when I was little. Great in a sandwich0 -
kittie thanks so much for the polish recipes, I look forward to trying them out!;)
On the topic of raised beds Shaz, you won't need this for yours, but:
Here’s a tip you might like to try…..
Mr Weezl cleverly hammered flat some copper pipe we found in the garage and nailed it round the top of the new raised bed he built. It was meant to be a slug deterrant.
Self- confessedly feeling like an 8 year old boy, he just picked one up and placed it on the copper, ‘just to see…’.
Well, it writhed and foamed and generally did not seem to be happy. Yuck. But I think we can safely say it’s a good trick for anyone trying to avoid the dreaded blue pellets, and go more organic!
Weezl x

Weezl's Baked beans:
Soak 125g dry weight haricot beans for 5 hrs or overnight. Drain.
Boil vigorously for 10 mins, drain, then put in slo-cooker with 150 ml water, 3 tablespoons tomato puree, 1 tablespoon vinegar, 1 tablespoon sugar (or honey ceridwen!) a scant quarter teaspoon chilli, 2 bay leaves if you have them. Add thyme leaves if you have them.
Cook 4 hrs on high, or all day on low.
Serve with mash and sausages.

ISOM could you firm the mix up up by adding some oats or breadcrumbs maybe ? I've not got a lentil burger recipe but have got a lentil loaf one from another forum I lurk on I've adapted the recipe quite a bit though so it would probably be different enough too post it on here if you want it for another time.I've just made one this morning actually and chopped up for the freezer (OH won't eat it so it's all mine)Or maybe I could pm it to you if you wanted instead(don't wanna hijack this thread) it does have cheese in though so might not be of use for SW soz
weezl
