i entered a trust deed around 2 yrs ago and since then have been using my spouses bank account for my wages/bills
i decided that it was about time i got my own account however basic it is
i applied for the co-op as i was under the impression that is was almost impossible to be declined
the account was referred last sunday, i heard nothing for a week so called them after 7days and was told i had to send proof of address but was told a letter was in the post asking for these details
came in tonight to find a letter saying at this moment was application had been declined
since i have been refused by the co-op is there any point in applying for others?
my trust deed was caused by ill health and have no record of fraud
thanks for any help coming

I would query it,was it a basic account?. I went bc in nov and like you have been using OH bank, but last week i applied over the phone for a basic. I told the chappie i was undischarged bc and i was accepted straight away. Check and ask why it ws declined. The other bc friendly as far as i know is barclays.DFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau
