Decent Quality DVD-R

Hello Everybody Peeps.
I am in need of some help with deciding which DVD-R to buy, what price I should be paying and what functions I should be looking out for. I did try and search, but, after 15 minutes I was totally confused.
If it were up to me I would just stay up and watch whatever programmes I need/want, but, I have to come to terms with the fact that I am getting old (26) and my body just cannot function after 10pm or before 10am if I stayed up past 10pm the night before. How sad is that? I almost want video's to stick around for a bit longer, but, if I am being honest, that's just because I struggle to learn how to operate anything new let alone teach the OH how to do it.
Anyhoo, waffle over, thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.

Verbatim are a consistently good quality brand.
It used to be a case that any discs using Ritek dye were good, I read that they changed their dye though.

Are you actually looking for a DVD Recorder?
Blank disks are usually referred to as DVD-R or DVD+R.
Can't help with the recorder but have you thought about SKY+? Nothing simpler to use :-) And you can get it for £49 now!

If you have the recorder then you should be looking at dvd-rw or dvd+rw as these you can record over and over again but the dvd-r is write one and only good for putting films/shows that you want to keep. The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0
