I have managed to get a discounted rate with David Lloyd gym in Renfrew, nr Glasgow.

Inviting people to PM you just sounds like you are involved in the club/ advertising.

Lol I never thought of it like that.

No I am nothing to do with the club, I just managed to get a corporate discount that includes "friends" so thought I would offer the saving to others who wanted it

If anybody from the club sees this, you do realise that they are likely to cancel the special rate due to abuse of the offer? 'Friends' usually has a very close definition, and would not extend to (albeit kindly) offering the deal to strangers.

A lovely idea, but be careful that it does not backfire on you x
