I tried to use two of the £3 joey vouchers off my shopping this morning in asda and they refused them saying you have to actually but the dvd!! (Supervisor was called who took it to management!)
Seems strange considering i've been off loading them for the past month to them with no problems so whether they are maybe clamping down?
Will tesco take them with no questions asked?Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £600 -

In my experience the answer is maybe!
I've tried 6 different Tescos. The smaller ones refuse outright, while the larger stores usually do take them without question. The small ones say they don't sell DVDs/that DVD so won't take the voucher.
However, today in a Tesco Extra the checkout operator refused, and claimed to have never heard of Tesco's coupon policy in the 7 years she'd worked for them. She went to speak to a number of her colleagues, who apparently all agreed with her. A manager then arrived, read out the terms & conditions on the Joey to me, especially the bit about having to buy the product & refusal of the voucher if you didn't buy it causing offence! When I said that I'd emailed Tesco Customer Service & they'd told me they accepted 1 of each coupon provided they sell the item he turned straight to the checkout operator, told her I was right, & to take the voucher.
So, it looked like he was going to refuse the Joey until I proved that I knew Tesco's policy and wasn't going to be fobbed off with the standard "you have to buy the DVD".
My advice is only try larger Tescos & just be persistent (but very polite!). If all else fails, ask them to call Tesco Customer Service to confirm the coupon policy.0 -

As I spent my final Joey last week, I was wandering tesco (Chelmsford ) thinking how much I missed that little pink token in my purse, when I saw some rogue packets of fitnesse and fruit! Only that morning my daughter, who has eventually developed a taste for the stuff, had been moaning that there were no nice cereals!
Alright, I admit it costs £2.48 a pack in tesco, but still...now I have a few more. Also saw some on the fruitful Shredded wheat in Chelmsford; I bought one pack but doubt it will be eaten until we get desperate.0 -
The only Joeys I've seen around recently have been on Triple Berry Shredded Wheat, £2.31-ish in Tesco and Sainsbury's. These have been rogue packets as well, and no special offers on the stuff, but hey, they're still paying us to eat it

(Was trying to remember the other day when was the last time I bought non-Joey cereal and couldn't remember -- it's been that long!

The children like the shredded wheat so I will be back down to Tesco asap as there were quite a few packs! :rotfl: It just goes to show the exciting new world opened out of collecting tokens...0
