Question about travel costs......

we are taking hubby's daughter on holiday with us soon, she lives 250 miles away therefore needs to travel to us before we set off for the holiday. All she will need to bring is her spending money.
The train fare is £75 return. Hubby pays £231 a month CSA.
Is it considered reasonable to pay half the train fare or should we pay the full £75.
cheers !

You're lucky she's bringing spending money! If we take OHs kids away they come without anything :rolleyes:Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked

Got to agree with Pinkpig here.. but then your Step Daughter is 18 now isn't she?
Would you be paying half with the Mum?
I think you should ask her and see what she says.. she may be so happy her Daughter is going on holiday and wouldn't mind one bit
Doesn't always work like that though does it :cool:0 -
hi - thanks for the replies
SD will be 17 - she earns a bit of her own money from babysitting etc - we're providing all the meals and days out, all she will need money for is to buy presents and momentos etc.
We offered to pay half but her mum insists that we pay the full amount - personally I think that's out of order0 -

Oh dear, she sounds like she's got a right bad attitude. Some people think of only themselves :cool:0 -
she's got a stinking attitude and always has had - I really tried hard to get on with her in the early days but she just threw it all back at me - the final straw was when she referred to my daughter as 'that child' and accused my hubby of neglecting his own daughter and favouring his step-daughter. All this came from a woman who had remarried and had another child!
Anyway, we'll pay half and await the backlash :rotfl:0
