    ggrrrrrr.

I've just smashed half a jar of tomate pizza topping sauce that was in the fridge. It was about 25p worth of sauce, but still grrrrrrrrr.

If you mopped it up with a pizza base and then cooked it well, would that count as it having been sterilised? :rotfl: Sorry, shouldn't laugh. I am also guilty of having wasted approximately 10p worth of pasta last week. :o I had slightly too much, so put it in a tub then into the fridge to use the next day. Unfortunatley, it got pushed to the back and forgotten, because it was in a margarine tub... it ended up out on the bird table being munched by jackdaws!

Penny2myname I have added 'child benefit' to your target amount in post one, sorry, I had forgotten to do that earlier when editing the post.

Going out for a nice walk now, as it's such a glorious, sunny evening. I'll probably get eaten alive by midges, but any weight loss is good at the moment! :rotfl: I need to consider my options for the best savings methods, so will have a think about it whilst walking - I can't get my head around the benefits of an ISA when the rate has dropped to 5.1%? I could easily transfer it all to a 1 year savings bond and get 7.2% less tax, which equates to 5.76% after a year. Doesn't that mean I am better off paying the tax? What's happened to the the 'tax free' incentive for these things?

I am finished. DD was as cranky in the evening as she was in the morning and I have spent my day by going to one bureau to an other to try to sort out my finances.

My Mr S trip was successful and I got strawberries for 99p, big bag of salad leaves for 99p and some plums for DD for under 90p (and a tiny chocolate bar for myself that I truly enjoyed - first in two weeks!!)

I manage to finish all the leftovers for lunch and can't be bothered in cooking anything really so a tuna omelette will do for supper and some strawberries for pudding :j. I need to find out when they whoopsie cherries as I love them but they are just too expensive at the mo. Roll on that small holding and loads of cherrie trees.

I have tried to call several times to BT to cancel my business contract and turn it into residential to save loads of money but every time I get through the web of options I get cut off. I have emailed them and asked them to call me. Lets see. I will try them again after eight if they are not quite not so busy then.

Wishing everybody relaxing evening and good night,

    Marru

Evening everyone. Still feeling a little down today :( Have been at work and talked again to the manager, as she sensed something was up. I've said all I wanted, so hopefully that'll be the end of it. I'm so tired! Today is another NSD, think I'm on a roll :) so that's a good thing. Just relaxing on the sofa watching Friends, so its all good. Hope everyone is okay xx

Hello all, back from a nice walk and I soooooooo know where I'm going to collect brambles. They aren't quite ready for picking here yet, just the odd few starting to ripen, but there are thousands of them this year and they should be ready for picking within the next week or two. :j

Still haven't thought about the savings scenario, I got distracted by thoughts of foraging and blackberry pies. :rotfl:

I've got mine staked out too:rotfl: keep checking every few days to see what stage they are at, they are quite a bit behind the ones in my garden, just hope no one else has spotted them , although there are tonnes. I would be devastated if someone picked them all before me:eek: OMG having palpitations just thinking about it:rotfl:

Spent this morning organising the blackberry hedge which is growing between the side of the shed and fencing, on my allotment plot, so that it trails along the front of the shed so I can get to them. Looks like there is tons and tons of them, spent most of the other day cutting down nettles that were in front of and between them. Also discovered a raspberry bush/plant? among the longer grass in the left hand corner of the plot. Children and I are going to tackle clearing the area around the raspberries.
Also found a patch of mint just to the side of the shed door, so dug a small square there and boarded it with breeze blocks to make a more controlled herb patch. Have planted some herbs at home and when they are big enough will transplant into the herb square by the shed.
Have just finished making for chocolate buns with the kids. Seemed it was the only way I could get them to go to bed, was by baking buns first so they could take one up with them;).
