legal help

my partner and i ran up some rent arrears last year and have recently finished paying them off to the housing association. we have now received a citation informing us of a summary cause court case to attend, at the bottom it says this.
the pursuer respectfully moves the court to recall the sist pronounced in this case on 19 dec 2007 and thereafter dismiss the cause but with expenses in favour of the pursuer on the undefended scale.

does anyone know what this means.

some obscure jargon there but I would guess that they started a court case against you last year. It may never have reached court but it cost them say £150 and they want it from you.

Have a look at the pre-action protocol. Did they follow it? if not, you should go to court and argue that it was unnecessary court action.
