Because he's Scottish (British) or because your Spanish?

As long as Cliff Richard doesn't suddenly start singing -...what am I saying?? EEP!!! Personally, in the words of my hero Garfield the Cat...I've more important things to do (than watch two twits knocking a ball to each other)...I'm plucking my nose hairs...All these years since I left school and I've never once had to use Algebra0

Murray's performance yesterday was grand, he has an interesting game unlike a lot of the women who just like to hit from the baseline - Sharapova, hits hard and when she is losing hits harder and suffers the consequences of balls going out.
He may be Scottish but at least he is still in and has more of an edge about him than Henman ever had - Henman used to get the jitters and you could see it in his face which is why when he reached Match Point he fluffed and eventually lost.
I don't think that he is rostered to play Nadal today, I think its tomorrow - I am sure I saw something on the bbc wimbledon website about it earlier. Murray has played Nadal before and beaten him and you never know Nadal may have peaked too soon.0 -
Should be an entertaining match, beats watching old Henman fail time after time.
When i see some of your comments it makes me glad he put on a Paraguay T-shirt !
Fingers crossed he pulls a miracle and beats Nadal to make some of you bite your tongues.:jStand And Deliver ! :j0 -
Erm, don't want to sound like a "whinging Scot" but, I think the tone of some of these messages is a wee bit, erm, almost, racist-sounding.
"whining jock", "he may be Scottish, but at least he's still in", "supported the frog" etc
Maybe I'm just being an over-sensitive whining jock myself, but I'd really rather not read comments like these on the normally good-natured and friendly MSE boards.

Sorry - wasn't trying to be a spoilsport, just pointing out that what some might see as "harmless fun" others might take differently.
I've been reading the MSE forums for months and I've only just signed up today. I'm sorry that my first posts have been so negative
Anyway - meant to say that I thought the match was excellent. I wasn't supporting either of them; just enjoyed watching a pretty thrilling match."In all affairs it's a healthy thing now and then to hang a question mark on the things you have long taken for granted." - Bertrand Russell0 -
