    Hi and welcome.

    One thing I would say is that the 'fee charging companies' charge about 15% a month, so based on your payment of £290 a month, £43.50 is going in their pockets and not paying off your debt. Over 17 years, this is over £8,800!! Switching to CCCS or payplan all that money would go off your debt and reduce the length of time you're paying it off. (I now arrange my own DMP, but took the advice of payplan)

    I stopped using a fee paying company and do my own DMP now. I've knocked 2 years off my debt free day.

    Good luck, but definately speak to CCCS.
