    Strange question I know but hoping some garden buffs can shed some light.....A prize for the winner!

    any idea what this tree is (lives in my back garden) its flowering pale pink buds & its been here since we moved in back in august (we thought it was dead then!!)

    It could be a flowering cherry tree,:D can you post a photo of a similar looking one.

    Not sure what you might come up with if you Google "cherry" though.:rolleyes:

    Hmm i'm not even going to attempt to google cherry!! had a phonecall from my poor mum the other day she's doing a bit of landscaping in the garden & wanted some hardcore to put down for something.....someone told her to google a local supplier :eek:


    Our tree looks similar to this one...although its very young & still quite small

    We're both well thanks, still trying to encourage the youngest to leave home so we can start to plan a more relaxed future.:beer::cool::beer::T

    I hope everything is ok with you, I do try and keep in touch but don't always have the time or the opportunity to log on and post.

    That tree certainly looks like a flowering cherry and they come in all shapes and sizes. They graft an attractive flowering shrub onto a vigorous root stock and you end up with any number of different hybrids. They make a hell of a mess when they shed their leaves.
