Well I hope you do make him get work. Ask him how he is going to live if he can't afford food, heating, clothes or a social life <grin emoticon> because you are not going to buy all his food, pay for heating in his room, buy the latest fashions for him or subsidise going out with his mates. Or am I to cruel <shrugging shoulders emoticon>

I'm worried about him because he rarely goes out, he sits on his computer. He used to be a high achiever and competitive but something has changed. I know its not drugs or anything like that. He was on a course of antibiotics for his spots (acne) maybe they made him him feel that way. At least he does go out 2-3 times a week to his tennis club.

Hmm! something like that could really knock your confidence, especially if you are being teased. Glad he is going to tennis, that will be good for him.

We have some thing called Connexions in our area. I know they have offices all over the country, so might have one near you. They also have online and telephone advice.

They might be able to help him.

He's had 2 appointments with Connexxions and there are a couple of good jobs that he's going to apply for (2 of them have approved training so it won't affect my CTC or child benefit!) Obviously those are the ones I want him to go for. One of them is in banking hehehe!

    :j :j

  • Oooops bit late with that advice then :D . Still at least I know it was good :P

Hope he gets one of the jobs, will keep my fingers crossed for him. Would be great if he got the job in the bank.

  • If he has to be credit checked, I hope nothing of mine comes up. He has the same name as his dad and his credit rating isn't much better than mine! Would they do a credit check on a 17 year old?

Shouldn't effect him if they do as you shouldn't be linked in any way.
