How do you feel when you spend money?

Hi guys,

I'm not in such a bad debt, but I am very interested in the subject and have started to read this message board frequently and just started to post. I just want to say that I have experienced that on days that I don't spend anything I do feel a little bit better than on days when I shop and spend money. Even if I have money to spend I have the same feeling.
How do you feel when you spend vs. don't spend money and has this feeling changed in your lifetime?

The feeling the very moment you spend money can be exciting, I can agree, but that's mostly connected to the thing or service you get when you spend isn't it? And how you feel wearing it or having it but that feeling fades away really fast..

Is the feeling you get when you have not spent any money in a day or a week the opposite to the feeling when you have purchased something?

happy when spent on something I need, or even want, and i know its a good deal.

so I guess most of the time I'm !!!!!! Off!

Well selling things is a way to make money and that's what I love the most also, to make money! That's even better than to not spend money!

I hate spending money now, haha!! Even on groceries & "necessities", and even luxuries for me..........

I think Ive taken this debt free wannabee business too far :0)
  • I agree with you ms_london, I begrudge spending money on some things nowadays, unless if I feel that I've got a bargain then I'm usually not happy!! My OH says I'm a tightar*e now but then I point out to him all the savings I've mad by being tight (I mean moneysaver)!! Lol :rotfl:

I used to not mind spending money on stuff I need! But now I get all sweaty and nervous when i watch my bank balance go down, even tho, I know more money is going in the account!

I am trying to keep around £800 -£1000 in our current account, and £200 in the building society (and adding when possible).. My GF doesnt worry about money, as she knows I will never leave us short! Sometimes I have to stop her spending as she doesnt realise whats in the bank/needs to be paid!!
In this trusted place U can erase
Every tear that ever rolled down your weary face
All the time U waste in that paper chase
Is time better spent in these arms of mine
  • I feel quite virtuous getting through a day not spending anything. Weekdays though it makes me feel hungry as all my snacks have gone.
Still wish I could buy a TARDIS instead of a house!
  • I spent £7.95 on two cups of coffee at Ansty Hall in Coventry last month.
Do you think I had grounds for complaint.

Same here! When my account balance goes below £700 I feel really nervous and try to spend less money!
