Peter Rabbit is turning even greener with the launch of a new global environmental and ethical initiative this summer

Peter Rabbit™ Naturally Better offers parents and children a range of products that are better for them, the environment and the people that make them. It will enable parents, family members and gift givers to make greener choices when buying for children. Shoppers will be able to identify the new range of products (which include books, toys, toiletries, confectionary and food) as they will include a Naturally Better logo.

Peter Rabbit, created by Beatrix Potter in 1893, is the oldest licensed character in the world. The World of Beatrix Potter(tm), initiated by Potter herself in 1903 when she created the first Peter Rabbit doll, is now one of the world's longest running and largest international literary licensing programmes. To celebrate the launch of Peter Rabbit™ Naturally Better, a special edition of The Tale of Peter Rabbit (RRP £5.99) is being published with a striking green cover printed directly onto the book's board from responsibly managed FSC sources. Plus, £1 from the sale of every book will be donated to the National Trust tree planting project to replenish parkland in the Lake District.
