You could freeze a quiche and slice in pieces. If you have a fridge in the room it will be ok to put in. Quiche is nice eaten cold. I think you can freeze sandwiches as well. Might be ok for the first 2 days anyway.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0

If you can, do a bit of home baking before you go - instead of buying cereal bars make stuff like flapjack, malt loaf, banana bread, oat bars, gingerbread etc.
Peanut butter - not a fan of it myself, buy a good source of protein, keeps you full and can go with crackers, or bread products from the shop or even some breadsticks or raw veggies like carrots etc.
Tinned mixed beans and/or tuna (or your own homemade equivalent in small tupperware-type containers.) Can go well with any salad-y stuff you may want to buy, in soups/cous cous etc.
Oatcakes, pretzels, popcorn, dry cereal/granola type stuff.
Many people consider it akin to sarcrilage, but I have to mention my namesake, smash.0 -
Some army surplus stores sell ration packs! Everything you need for 24 hours...not the most delicious things in the world, but they do the job!0
