You can pick up free a tamperproof tax disc holder from the website below. (Maximum order 200, although I don't know why anyone would need that many!). Also available are various road safety posters.

If they're tamperproof, how do yuo get the tax in there or change it?

That's probably why you can order upto 200! Basically, the tax disc sticks inside the holder. Once you've put it in, it cannot be removed or tampered with, so you can't change the car details, etc. You can, however, take it off the windscreen. If you try to take the tax disc out of the holder, it will rip apart.

Ah I see. I figure if they are going to tamper with my tax, then they have already got inside my car, so I figure there would be greater things to worry about.

They don't need to get inside your car to nick your tax disc. If you leave your window open, they just need to reach in and grab it. This stops anyone changing the details on the disc, so it's pointless them nicking it. There are lots of other useful things on the site, such as reflective bag tags for kids, etc.

I have ordered a load of stuff from here for my husbands company and also for my tots and carers group. They also have the flourescent bags and tags for kids. An excellect idea to keep the little ones safe on the dark nights - and free too.
