Call from Bank of Scotland CC

Just had a call from Bank of Scotland CC collections department from a very rude CSA. Apart from speaking at 100 miles an hour, he did not let me get a word in edgeways. I asked him to send the correspondance in writing rather than being rude to me on the phone. He then said that Bank of Scotland could not do that, they do all their dealings on the phone. He said he was going to put on my file that I was refusing to co-operate with him, despite me not being able to get a word in, and him continually interupting me when I did try to speak to him. He said I would be getting extra charges on my account for this. I replied "Fine do that, I will just claim them back!" He said that I was being rude then, and so I asked to speak to a manager and he said he wouldn't put one on. I then asked for his name and location as him manner was downright appauling. He gave me these, and then said he was terminating the call as I was refusing to co-operate with him at which point I said very sweetly "Fine, thanks for calling!"
I really feel like complaining about him. Would you?

He would probably get a gold star - these people are not encouraged to be too nice.
I would save a stamp for more worthy courses or write but don't put a stamp on caus then they postage0 -
im sure someone with more sense will be along soon but from just reading what you just wrote ,i do definately thing you have got grounds to make a formal complaint, as you have his name etc it will hopefully make it much easier to resolve.0

Ditto
Write to their customer compalints section, pretty much as per your post above and demand a transcript of the telephone call and an apology.
Make absolutely plain that you could not "cooperate" as you could not get a word in edgeways. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Hi, hope you had a good weekend with your DB,
had similar situation on Friday with Virgin, hubs rang to complain about the phone bill, was 'greeted' with a frosty woman who refused to give her managers name, thus resulting in OH going a tadge ballastic. Once he did manage to speak to a Manager he was informed that 'all matters are dealt with internally and the person in question will receive further training".
I will leave you to decide how you interpret that one, although I have to agree with the previous post and that would probably get a gold star - or even Employee of the Month!. xOpinions are like bottom holes, we all have one

I have spoken to their customer complaints department who have taken all details, and are investigating. However I am also going to write a complaint also to ensure it is dealt with. I was passed through to the same department after the complaint had been registered and dealt with the matter which they had phoned about in the first place. Bullying tactics are just not on. I have told them if I experience this again a complaint will be made to the financial ombudsman, (not that it will do any good I bet).LBM £18463.32 in debt 10th June 2008,£12470.99 in debt 10th June 2009.:jTime flies like an arrow.
