The 4400 Season 4 returns for its fourth and final season DVD outing on June 30. The Emmy Award-nominated sci-fi drama explores the challenges of The 4400 – the thousands of missing people who were suddenly and inexplicably all returned in a ball of light to Earth after years of disappearance.
With no memory of their ordeal, they are haunted by experiences that have changed them. Unable to function within the realms of normality, the victims start to endure mysterious changes, gaining powers that aren’t always in their control.
Three months have passed since the incredible climax of Season 3 and now The 4400 face new challenges as the The National Threat Assessment Command (NTAC) continue to try and suppress them. The season opens with the episode “The Wrath of Graham”, where widespread distribution of the drug promicin has created a dangerous new world, a world in which special abilities are no longer the exclusive province of The 4400.
Fifty percent of those who take the shot pay the price with their lives, while those who survive are now ostracised by a government determined to rid the world of promicin forever.
Having long known that The 4400 were abducted by humans from the future to prevent global catastrophe, they continue to deal with rival faction ‘The Marked’ who would prefer to protect the future status quo and so suppress the actions and powers of The 4400. Time travelling and power-wielding, the series guides viewers through the intricate plot strands, introducing new characters and changing the lives of the familiar in unimaginable ways…
