BPO have lost my money!

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. I recenty found out i had an outstanding debt from 2 and a half years ago, i contacted BPO Collections and agreed a payment plan to start on 20th June (made agreement on 9th May). I also agreed to make the outstanding extra payment of £65.32, now i don't have a debit card and i cannot get to a post office so asked them for their bank details to pay the £65.32 by BACS with my bank, i did this straight away, knowing it would take 3 days to get to them. the next week and for the past 4 weeks i have cnstantly received phone calls from them advising the money wasn't received. I waited for my bank statement and double checked the details with the bank, all were correct. I then faxed my bank statement as proof, the fax machine told me the fax was received by their fax machine. BPO then proceeded to tell me they didn't receive this either (can you see the pattern)! to top it all they hadn't set thre direct debit up correctly and it didn't call for the funds so then had another call telling me i hadn't paid anything. I've now finally got confirmation of the direct debit being set up but they cannot find my £65.32. Can i let them take me to court over the final £65.32, I have proof it was paid and not returned to my bank, i have confirmed their bank details with them on numerous occasions and i have proof that i sent the fax and it was received by them.
Thanks

apart from the fact that they appear to be a bunch of idiots.......
when you sent the payment, did you include your account number as customer reference?
if not it is possible the payment is sitting in a suspense account, but they dont know where/whom it came from and for where it should go.
are you able to talk to their accounts office, ie the person dealing with money in and out, rather than general CS staffsmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

Hi,
Thanks for your response. I did put my account number on there as the reference, i esculated it to a senior manager and threatened them with FSA and legal proceedings. I then received a call this morning and now they have found the money, it was lost as they were changing banks at the time, nobody ever offered that explanation before, i've wasted so much time and money on this but at least they've now got it!0
