hi
it is fairly simple; no-one here would recommend a pay day loan.
If you are in deep trouble, post up you Statement of Affairs, so folks can advise you how to cut your expenditure/make your salry go further.
In the very short term, do a store cupboard challenge on the Money Saving Old style forum and look out what you could take to a car boot next weekend, or sell on amazon or e-bay.
Also check down the back of the sofa and in all coat and trouser pockets for a few bob.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

And check whether your local credit union offers short-term loans to people who have not saved with them previously. Usually the rate is much higher than their normal loan (about 2% per month) but compared with a payday loan at 2000% APR, it is a bargain. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

I would normally never consider this kind of loan as they charge over 1000%! However, Payday UK Loan are offering £70 cashback to new customers through Quidco. They charge £25/£100 borrowed. So, if you borrowed £80 (the minimum they loan) and got £70 cashback, you'd be charged £20 and still be £50 up. Quidco says they have 97% tracking reliability and they pay the cashback out with in a month.
I'm a bit nervous about doing this - has anyone else ever used this cashback offer? (Unlike the OP I don't need the loan, I'm only interested in the cashback)Debt at LBM (20th March 2008) £13,607
