Well - cheapER butter....
I know that alot of you on here use butter instead of margarine, and as a rule I do too, but not for baking as it has gone up in price so much it is too dear for me now, however (and you may already know this so sorry if you do) at the moment in Tescos they have Country Life spreadable butter on offer for £1 for 500g - so effectively the same price as the Asda 50p butter. I know that spreadable butter is not exactly the same but I got some and it tastes really nice and I made flapjacks and cup cakes and they turned out really nice.

That's what I thought but on the supermarket site it says the offer ends 04.07.08. Also some of the other like the mince. sausages and melon.

Hi,
Tesco have Kerrygold spreadable butter 500g at £1.69 on an introductory offer until the 8th July. It goes up to £2.09 after that. We've just brought a load to stick in the freezer, as it's cheaper than the Lurpak we were getting and my lot won't eat marg, spreads etc.
