Agree with JDPower (above) most of the toolbars seem to be made by Neilson who always seem to wreak havok on speeds of your internet. As far as I can work out, all tracking devices will only ever slow things down as they will be adding extra work in terms of watching you and then transmitting data back again to the company constantly- or if not, at set periods/after set amounts of stuff is collected and if you value your time or have data limits with your internet supplier at all, you may want to be careful with this. I just can't understand how they can not make things slower.

Have a look at the terms and conditions, see if they note anything about Neilson at all, this is one of the main bugbears for slowing things down in my experience, but having said that, other brands do the same too, it's just a matter of how slow your prepared to put up with.
  • Thanks all. I think I will leave it. I don't have download/data limits or anything but I don't want my system to be slowed down and I do appreciate that with these things once you've downloaded it, it can be a nightmare getting every little bit of it off of your system. Think I shall just leave it and stick with the survey sites instead :)

Since I reached £39.90 on onepoll , I've been stuck without any surveys for days , whereas before this they were coming thick and fast. Is there anything I can do to get over the £40 threshold ?

Lots of people say this about onepoll but its never happened to me in 4 years of being with them.

I've had that with several survey panels, I think its just we get impatient when close to a payout and forget about the other periods we have had with no surveys for a while, I get very few from OnePoll - thinking about dropping it as I'm not even a quarter of the way to cashout :(

People say it about all survey sites. I have dry patches at various points with all sites, sometimes it's when I'm pennies away from a payout, sometimes it's not. Just have to be patient and not get carried away with conspiracy theories.

I'm happy, I've cashed-out on Yougov after just 15 months this time :)

A good hint is to do those monthly "prize-draw" surveys as they normally ask you profile-related questions in order to send you more relevant surveys the following month.

After 2 years I've finally managed to hit the £10 redraw amount on Opinionbar, as soon as that money is in my bank I;m closing my account, average is a survey a month and there seems to be no way to updating profile infomation

whilst I can understand what your saying about surveys sometimes drying up , to go from getting regular surveys every single day to having absolutely none for over a week now as soon as the threshold is about to reached seems a bit 'strange' to say the least.:(

Come back in a month, if you've still had none THEN I'll agree it's a bit strange, a week is nothing.

And on that subject, anyone here on Opinion World been getting paid surveys the last few months? I've had nothing prize draw entry surveys for several months now and it used to be one of my biggest payers :(
