question regarding a refund ?

hi,

i regulary pay by cheque for things with my gaurantee card so i can budget better, But what happens when it comes to a refund ?

would they find my cheque out and give it back to me ?

or write me one ?
or give me cash ?

in particular argos because i brought somethign other the weekend which in all honesty is pathetic, and just waying up if its worth going back to store or putting the item on ebay

Some companies will wait for your cheque to clear before refunding you in cash.

Debenhams don`t wait, but will cheque your cheque limit on your card and refund you in cash. This hapenned recently when i`d paid £60 by cheque and then took the item back the next day and they gave me £60 cash back.

that sound ok, so if they do wait for it to clear what do they give you ?

I would suspect that they will give you cash or credit note back depending on their returns policy.

if the item as in as new and under a 14 day money back gaurantee i guess i could insist either a cheque or cash ?

Pretty sure they won't issue cheques, but if it is within the 14 day guarantee period you should have no problem getting cash back.
