can't believe what I have just done!!

Following in the footsteps og the lovely Immoral Angel last night...I have also had a splurge on something that I don't need
I have just spent £100 on a book from ebay:eek: (excluding the postage form canada!!)

However it is a first edition of Gone with the Wind and it's my favourite film, but i do also have a copy of the book and am actually in the middle of reading now, but i'm soooo excitied and can't wait for it to come

the book is fab but there is a hell of a lot cut out of the film which is already nearly 4 hours long, the mainthings being that Scarlett had a child with Charles Hamilton and one with Frank Kennedy, the film only shows her having one with Rhett

It's a big book... I've got a copy on my shelf but haven't got round to reading it yet.

Awwww, I loved the book so much - it was my Grandma's favourite book and she lent it to me as soon as I was old enough to read it. It took me days and days to get to the end of it, but I could hardly put it down.

    Call it an investment... ;)

No wonder it was £100 then! Sounds like you got a bit of a bargain

It's a great price, all my favourite books would cost thousands (at least) for a first edition.
