Picnic Weddings- an idea shared (plus baskets available!)

Hi guys,
Just wanted to share what we are doing for our wedding incase it helps someone else.
Basically we have organised to have a picnic wedding in a barn and we have brought 26 white wicker baskets with handles (see pic). We then dyed the lining black to match our wedding colours (as baby pink wasnt our thing!). We are then going to make up picnics for each basket (well our caterer is who is doing it for £8 per head) and each basket should serve 4-6 people. We figured this was a much more fun idea than a buffet (and also gets rid of the queue issue) and it will be quite unusual.

Anyhow although the baskets were about £7 each you could probably buy cheaper versions elsewhere (ours were from candigifts and the cheapest around by miles) and if you were to make up the picnics yourselves I reckon you could do the whole thing for £5 per head.
Hope this helps someone.
Cheers
Miss. C.
P.S After the 2nd August I will have 26 white wicker baskets with a black lining (easily changed for another colour) for sale. Would like £100 for the lot (which works out at less than £4 per basket!). I would like to get rid of them asap after the wedding (you could have them on the 3rd if you wanted!) and you could collect from either Somerset or London or I could look into delivery.
