• If you are like me and don't mind doing a bit of research first, I can recommend a website called ukwhitegoods.com They have forums where you can ask repair men about problems you are having with dishwashers, washing machines etc.
It makes very interesting reading as the same names come up time and time again with the same sort of problems! It's where I go before I make a big purchase.
At least it gives you an idea of which ones to avoid and the guys are very helpful and knowledgeable - after all, they repair them all day every day!

Hope this helps,
CtC

I can personally recommend the Indesit IDL40. But do shop around, as prices vary.

After a previous Indesit died after only a couple of years, I did the research and bought a Bosch slimline one. Do check out the forum mentioned.

Both oh and I had Bosch slimline dishwashers. Mine was 9 1/2 years old when we married , whereas his was only 4 years old, so we replaced mine with his and gave the older one away on freecycle. In all that time the only things that ever went wrong with mine were that the wheels on the baskets broke after about 8 years, but were easily replaced on line and the cutlery basket eventually broke after about the same time. Again easily replaced. No mechanical work done at all. I would highly recommend Bosch and if the current one were to pack up, I would buy Bosch again.

I got a slimline Bosch (model SRS45E32GB) earlier this year and have been very pleased with it.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.
• I would suggest https://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk and https://www.reevoo.com
Best of luck!
