Confused About Boots Points When An Offer Is On

at the moment you get a free £10 voucher = £5 perfume & £5 No7 if you spend over £10
i used my points (at newcastle) to buy perfume @ £13 but did not recieve the voucher
i rang customer service and they said yes i should have got it and i could go into the store and ask for the voucher or get a refund from another store then re-purchase it with points and get the voucher ...."NO BOTHER PET"
she said
i rang newcastle store and she said "i think that should be okay your points are the same as money"
i called into the team valley store and asked if they would give me a voucher and they said ..NO!
i told them what the customer service told me and they said.. NO!
i told them what newcastle told me and they said NO!
i asked them to speak to customer service and find out the policy as i was told by two people over the phone that i could still recieve the voucher while paying buy points but they said ..NO!
i did not want to go into debate and needed to buy another purfume @ £16 but still wanted to use my points so no voucher from team valley! and i told the sales assistant i would be ringing customer service tomorrow but she still insisted it is a waste of time

WHAT IS THE POLICY????

i still got a bargain half price perfume
but if the offer is open for any payment i want my voucher!!!
if team valley is right why do the staff on the phone tell you a load of rubbish???
any help please reply

I was of the impression that vouchers weren't given when purchasing with points, although you'd think that their own H.O. Customer Services would know for sure.

i also agree with Addy, if you've purchased something with points, u usually dont get the vouchers or extra points etc.
  • Hi! I work for Boots and in our store you wouldn't be given a voucher if you paid with points I'm afraid. Sometimes, policy can be different with managers discretion etc.

I've never been offered a voucher when paying with points... Should move to Blackpool maybe! :D
  • Can i ask a (probably stupid) question ??

The xmas nights that are coming up give you 1200 points if you spend £50 on the night. I have a voucher for double points would i be able to use this ? So in effect I could get 200 points for a £50 spend + 1200 points = 1400 x 2 = 2800 points ??? or am i having another blonde moment
    Brendan's new dance partner...please :D

Yes you are :D (and yes, I am an expert on blonde moments too! :o ). Double points only double your basic points (200), not extra points. Unfortunately...
