Cheap Ps2 Games For Kids

Hi there, I'm looking for cheap ps2 games for children...for Christmas my 8 year old cousin is getting a ps2 and I really don't know what sort of games are out there for 8 year old boys.

If anyone out there is a parent please suggest some games.

Any help would be great!

Depends really what kind of things he's into. There's all the usual sporty ones like FIFA/WWE/Tiger Woods/Tony Hawks etc. But the other games like Spyro are quite good for first timers. Also, any particular show he likes - usually find a game to go with it Spongebob/Scooby doo/Simpsons/Harry Potter etc. The older versions tend to be a cheaper option.

Most of the cartoony kind are probably ok for 8+ - not sure about the others - I know Tekken and stuff and usually 12+. I think the Sims Bustin out is for 8+ and the eye toy is lots of fun.

Last christmas - the Game did a deal of the day - usually selling a current title - some of the PS2 games were very cheap. Keep your eye on the discount code threads - you can usually find some codes there. You can also pick up some good offers at Amazon or E-bay.

Ditto to what jb1964 said re. The Game Deal of the Day. I managed to pick up quite a few 'kids' PS2 games as a result of this last Christmas. Sonic, Harry Potter, Incredibles, Pop Idol - all really good games and good prices too.

Keep a look out on Grabbit for these!

Woolworths have got loadsa cheap playstation 2 games. I have bought my 6yr old a load of games for the pc from woolies, all in the sale, and on checking, they also have got loads of cheap titles for ps2.
Also, they have an offer, buy to titles(full price) for £26
