Previous thread: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=954301

After sending the letter as suggested on that thread. I have received another letter Entitled VISIT BY DEBT ENFORCEMENT OFFICER.

Has anyone the address to the OFT and Trading standards so that I can copy them in on any future correspondence to these slugs?

Its actually starting to get on my nerves now!

Many thanks,

Loafer

No I was lucky with them, I wrote offering token payments, they asked for proof of my income support and then just sold the debt on.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

I would happily offer token payments if they could tell me who the debt is with and that its not statute barred but all correspondence seems to be ignored!

    Strengthens my case though!

I am wondering if people are actually sent out to recover debt as my folks live in the house and I am not having them harrassed by these guys.

Anyone had a door step call from them personally? I would love to hear your experiences!

    You and me both.

They sent me demands out of the blue for debts I have absolutely no knowledge of, apparently acting on behalf of phoenix recoveries, no mention of the OC.Nothing on my credit file, so I sent them a template 'I dont acknowledge' letter which they signed for but have just completely ignored!!!

If the debt is mine and its something I owe from a previous address or something Ill pay it, no problem but I refuse to pay a debt until It is proved I owe it.

This morning I got a final demand for it so I have made complaints TS/OFT and the financial ombudsman
